music of Bill Evans & Impromptus/ビルエヴァンスの音楽と即興曲

数々のピアノトリオ、Jim Hallとのduo、Tonny Benettとのduo、他にも好きな作品がたくさんあるピアニスト、Bill Evans。独特のリズム、繊細な和音、強靭なメロディー。Scott LaFaroが入ったトリオは"自由"という言葉がいつ聴いても浮かぶし、重力の向きがぐんにゃりするような不思議な身体感覚になります。曲もクラシックの手法を取り入れたものが多く、難しいけれど耳に馴染みやすい、弾いていると何か扉が開きそうな気配がある素敵な作品ばかり。そんなBill Evansの音楽と緩やかに動機やフォームがある曲としての短い即興を組み合わせてみたらどうなるかな、と思い立って企画しました。連休最終日、22日13:00からです。お近くの方は是非おいでください。
Mr. Bill Evans is one of my favourite piano player and jazz composer. He left many great studio recordings such as duo with Jim Hall, duo with Tony Bennett and more, and amazing live recordings including his historical piano trio with bassist Mr. Scott LaFaro. I like all of them but especially love his trio recordings with Mr. LaFaro. It always make me think the meaning of Freedom in jazz music and their deep interplay brings me somewhere which the gravity is somewhat different from this planet. I will play his music on my solo performance on Wednesday, 22nd at Mori-no-terrace. Please come to listen!

solo "songs"

立秋がすぎてすこし暑さが和らいだかな。洗濯日和が多い。オムツがよく乾きます。娘は洗濯バサミをバラバラっと床にぶちまけてからひとつかふたつ選んで遊びます。最近何かを落として、大人が拾い、それをまた落として、拾い、落としてというのが楽しい模様。木琴も上手に叩けるようになった。私が子供のころつかっていたやつだ。

急ですが、来週28(金)13:00から仙川森のテラスでソロピアノやります。武満徹さんのsongsからと林光さんの曲を何曲か弾く予定です。8月、6日も9日も15日も飛ぶように過ぎてしまったけれど、日本から音楽という方法で人を繋いだ偉大なお二人の曲を大事に挑戦してみたいと思います。お時間のある方は是非。お茶お菓子付き1000円です。

It was hot day today, but better than earlier this month. I was bit sick from summer heat in late July and early this month. It was absolutely crazy....However, this wether is good for laundry, especially for someone with baby. This is only good point I found within it.

By the way, my daughter likes playing with laundry clips. She strews them all over the floor and picks up one or two, then played well by herself.

I will play piano at Mori-no-terrace, Sengawa, Tokyo on next Friday. This is solo performance. Usually I play jazz standers but this time I will mainly play "songs" by Mr. Toru Takemitsu. Please come to listen. 13:00 start, 1,000 yen with tea and snack.

歩行

娘が歩きました。7月の最後の日。笑顔でこっちに向かってきた。胸がいっぱいになりました。こんな素晴らしいことってないなあ。

先月、旧友の弓削礼子さんと演奏しました。心にまっすぐ飛び込んて来る声。理屈でない部分が震えました。子供と大人が同率くらいでしたが、いろんな笑顔が見られて嬉しかったです。暑い中足を運んでくださったお客様に感謝です。

童謡を中心に他には無い活動をされているKOHAKUというユニットのCDが発売され私の曲も2曲入っています。ブレない芯がある活動と音。こんな音楽のあり方もあるのか、といつも素晴らしいなと尊敬しているユニットです。詳細はこちら。

２階

娘が2階まで自力で階段を登りました。よいしょ、よいしょ、と1段づつ。娘の目線で階段を見上げたら、急坂、木の段々登山でした。これは大冒険！目がキラキラで、嬉しかった。今日はアレンジのリハに。銀座に出たらあまりの観光客の多さにたじろいだ。本当にそうなんだね〜。
My daughter came to upstairs by herself, by "climbing" up the stairs. I gazed up from her point of view, and there was a mountain, not a familiar wooden stairs. It should adventure for her, for sure. I was so happy and was fun to see her doing it.

階段

娘が階段を登りました。1段！背伸びしてピアノの鍵盤も届くようになったし、ぐんぐん大きくなっていくなあ！寝相も日に日に大胆になっています。子供の時、あんまり寝相が悪くてベッドから落ちるので横に転落防止にゆりかごを置いてあったことを思い出します。

8日は誕生日でした。39になりました。この世に誕生させてくれた両親に感謝です。ありがとう。そしていつもいろんな人の愛に支えられて生きていられることに改めて感謝しています。頂いた愛を娘に注いであげたい。毎日娘を見習って新しい気持ちで生きていきたいと思います。
I had my 39th birthday on July 8th. I was so grateful for my parents for giving birth to me 39 years ago. I'm also so fortunate to have many good friends who gave me a power to go forward when I'm not certain where I should go. I was given a lot of love until now, so this is my turn to give them to my daughter. Her daily life is full of brand-new surprises and she's excited and happy for just living, enjoying a lot. She's like my teacher. Real changes come from inside of me, I believe.
