sunset

多摩川の河原からの夕日。昨日レッスンの合間に散歩しました。深呼吸。
A beautiful sunset from a riverside of Tama river yesterday. I often go there during the break of lesson at the music school in Futako-tamagawa. We often hear "Ganbatte(Give it your all? Do your best?"in Japanese in good meaning, but I was told "please don't "Ganbatte"(please, take it easy)"few days go. I'm thinking the real meaning of it since then. Sometime "Gabbaru"is good but sometime is not.  It's difficult to choose but I just did what I could for at least that moment, that was taking deep breath under that beautiful sky:)

邪宗門/Jyashumon

数日前にソプラノの吉川真澄さんにお会いして、吉川さんが出演される"邪宗門"のチラシを頂きました。ものすごく行きたいですが、大阪。初演の様子を少しこちらから見る事が出来ます。作曲者の平野一郎さんのブログです。ああ、東京でもやって欲しい！

吉川さんに教えてもらった林光さんの動物園という曲がものすごく素敵な曲で、そして作曲家ってすごいな、と思ってしまう。深い。ここ数日その曲のことを考えていたら動物園に行きたくなり、レッスンの帰りにいってきました。写真は走るヤマアラシ。もともと好きでよく行く場所なのですが。象のはなこはお休みした後でした。残念。

I met a wonderful soprano singer, Masumi Yoshikawa few days ago and she gave me the flyer of the mono-opera "Jyashumon"which she would appear in it. I saw the promotion movie and was amazing! I   would love to go if it will be held around Tokyo. It will be performed on Feb. 22nd in Osaka.

By the way, Ms. Yoshikawa taught me a song called "Dobutsuen(Zoo)" by Japanese composer, Hikaru Hayashi. I immediately fell in love with this song and it was played over and over in my head since then. So, today I went "real" zoo in Kichijoji after lesson in Ogikubo. I sometime go there to empty my head though. The photo is running hedgehog. I couldn't meet old elephant, Hanako-san..next time!

発表会/student's recital

昨日は生徒の発表会でした。なんだかバタバタしていて写真を撮りそびれてしまった。皆さん生き生きと、緊張感の中でもきらきらして音楽をしていたので、見ていてじーんとしてしまった。笑顔で終わる事ができて本当によかった。最後の瞬間に楽しんできますって言ってピアノに向かってくれるのは本当に嬉しいです。皆さんおつかれさまでした！

写真は調布市仙川のシャトンというお店のケーキ。全部美味しいのだけれど、私は手前のチーズタルトが大好きでよく食べていたのですが、来年1月にお店をしめてしまう、と今日聞いて大ショック。どれも本当に丁寧で飽きなくて、毎回来てよかったなあ、頑張ろうって思えるプロのお仕事なのです。イートインもできるので、お近くに来る機会がある方は是非！！私の幸せスポットです。

My students performed at the recital with other students at Shimamura music school yesterday. I was so happy to see their shining faces at the stage with band and also happy to hear that they really enjoyed the stage. I know they practice a lot for this recital and it's my big pleasure to see their progress.

The cakes above are one of my favorite cake shop's ones in Sengawa, Chofu. Today, I was so shocked to hear that they decided to close their shop on Jan. Oh my......! "Chaton" was the place where I can refresh myself in my daily life.  I really love those cakes by excellent patissier, Ms. Rokuna, very carful and sensitive works she has done.  If you have chance to stop over at Sengawa, I definitely recommend to try those cakes!

cat/猫

鍵盤を飛ぶ猫。。生徒さんから頂きました。ありがとう。猫好きなんだけど、アレルギーがあるから一緒には住めない。でもこれなら大丈夫〜。
Cat walks(jumps?) on the keys:) One of my student gave it to me yesterday.Thanks a lot. I like cats but I can't keep any with me because of my allergic to them. So, I'm just happy to see this "piano"cat!
